CHIC Charity Golf Day 2026 raises £9K for CHIP

The CHIC team and supply chain partners took to the golf course on Wednesday 1st July 2026 for the annual fundraising golf day. 26 teams made up of 104 golfers teed off at the Macdonald Portal Hotel Golf Resort to play a round of 18 holes. The day concluded with a raffle fundraiser which had some amazing prizes up for grabs.

We are pleased to announce the final total raised for CHIP exceeded £9,000!

The money raised will be used to support CHIP in meeting its social value objectives, which includes:

Community Chest Fund (CCF)

This fund supports local projects throughout the UK. Each organisation can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to support the inception or growth of a project or programme. These can include mental health wellbeing sessions, education and training opportunities, homelessness preventionrecycling schemes and many others. The money raised could directly support a further two CCF projects, meaning that CHIP can support more people and communities.

Local Employment Group (LEG)

CHIP supports Local Employment Groups (LEGs), which are organisations designed to offer a range of employability skillstraining and qualifications to people who are distant from the workplace. Ultimately, the training and education they provide will help individuals into a variety of employment pathwaysThe important work they deliver ensures that people from all backgrounds and facing different hardships have a better path forwardWith the money raised, this could also provide an opportunity to further support Local Employment Groups.

Overall, the event was a great success, and we hope that everyone who attended enjoyed it.

Due to popular demand, CHIC is holding another golf day on 29th September 2026 at Whittlebury Park with a record breaking 33 teams. We wish all the teams the best of luck and we will let you know how the event went soon.

Every pound raised helps CHIP deliver meaningful social value for local communities. If your organisation would like to partner with CHIP, support future fundraising initiatives, or learn more about the work of CHIP, get in touch with the CHIP team by emailing [email protected]
